What Arts Integration Solutions does
Mission
Arts Integration Solutions is a mission driven organization that trains educators to use arts integration to improve academic achievement in as many classrooms as possible. The organization believes that the arts can engage every child when they are used in classroom lessons for math, science, reading and writing. Because teachers have the most important roles in helping children succeed, the organization focuses professional development on giving teachers what they need to break down barriers and implement strategies for rigorous arts integration practice. The organization's goal is to enable teachers to use the arts every day in their classrooms with all academic subjects. The organization also works with school leadership to help them build programs for using the arts as a school-wide operating system.
As stated on its FY2017 Form 990-EZ.
Program
In the past year, we provided professional development to preschool through high school classroom teachers and worked closely with schools in arizona, nevada and california. We are growing our impact on student achievement with our partner, embody learning. Our mission is to equip teachers to engage students to transform their level of achievement using arts integration and embody. Increasing student engagement increases student achievement. We train teachers to use arts integration and embody learning in every lesson they teach each day. Our work enables every teacher to access his or her existing teaching skills, experience, passion and talents in their own personal style and own their new high-power student engagement abilities. We guide them to make the connection between arts integration methods and academic content - common core, math, science, social studies, stem content they use every day. With Arts Integration Solutions training, teachers add new integration and embody learning techniques that magnify their own gifts as educators. Every student, regardless of the barriers they face, engages in a new level of learning and success.

Who funds it, year by year
Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.
1 of 2 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of ARTS INTEGRATION SOLUTIONS’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
ARTS INTEGRATION SOLUTIONS leans on a few funders — its largest provides 100% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left
100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund ARTS INTEGRATION SOLUTIONS.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of ARTS INTEGRATION SOLUTIONS's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $20 that is directly attributable, 100% of it comes from funders outside Arizona, across 1 state.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $20k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
