What Anne Arundel Connecting Together Inc does
Mission
ACTS mission is to improve the quality of life for all Anne Arundel County residents. We accomplish this mission by listening to community voices, developing local leadership, researching the problems, and working with state and local stakeholders to implement solutions that reduce the impact of economic, social, and racial injustice.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Programs
ACTs Housing Team conducted research into the barriers that exist in Anne Arundel County and Maryland in affordable homeownership and rental opportunities. Using this research, ACT conducted education with its own members and the broader community about potential solutions including a possible inclusionary zoning policy that requires the creation of below market rate units in all new housing developments.
$71,912 spent41% of program spendingACt worked with its sister organizations in Maryland to pass state-wide legislation to address additional barriers to affordable and stable housing. ACT educated its members on upcoming pending legislation and how to participate in the legislative process and engage with their elected officials. ACT helped to pass two bills that will incentivize the creation of more affordable housing across the state and will give renters more stability in their homes.
$71,912 spent41% of program spendingACT invests in developing local community leaders by providing training opportunities for new and emerging leaders to learn the skills required to make change in their communities. In 2024, ACT trained over 100 everyday people in the skills of: community listening, researching systemic issues, and engaging with local and state decision makers to implement solutions.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2019, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2019, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2020 to 2021, from $59k to $109k (+83%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
