Celebration of literacy is an annual event that includes businesses, schools, civic and service organizations in the douglas co. Area. The purpose is to raise awareness that reading is foundational to learning. Coordinated by altrusa with help from the umpqua literacy council, this month-long event provides reading related activities to all age groups.
