01What it does

What Alliance for the Children does

Mission

Acquisition and Distribution of Toys, School Supplies, food and clothing to needy children. Distribution is to parents and caregivers. Proof of need is verified thru certified Federal and State Programs. Additional programs aide pets, families in need and the elderly with food and clothing.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. The Giving Tree: Distribution of Clothing, Coats, Boots and Toys to children in need. This program helps thousands of children per year with toy bags, many children receive clothing bags in addition to toys. We are able to do this as most of the product is from material donations. We work closely with organizations such as Toys for Tots and schools to achieve our giving goals. Our cash expenses on the books are all centered around the preparation and distribution of this large volume of goods. Our expenses are low as the charity has no paid employees.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of ALLIANCE FOR THE CHILDREN’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of ALLIANCE FOR THE CHILDREN's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $5k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
