The primary purpose of the African American Music Association is to preserve, protect and foster the continued development of African American music and the legacy of those who compose, record and perform the music. Music is used as a toll to address the issues that impact our community.

This program celebrated the original Teenarama Dance Party, an African American teen television dance show that was produced and aired on WOOK-TV (Ch.14) in Washington, DC from 1963-1970.
