Zip Code Wilmington is a nonprofit coding training program with the mission of helping Wilmington, Delaware compete globally for good-paying jobs in technology. The Zip Code Wilmington program is comprised of a software development training school and a job placement program. Students spend 12 weeks learning the foundation needed to succeed in software development, and selected graduates move directly into full-time jobs and paid 26-week apprenticeships at area corporations upon graduation. As of december 2023, Zip Code Wilmington graduated nearly 700 students during its 8 years of operations in the most recent audited reporting period, 73% of java software graduates and 75% of data engineering & analytics graduates secured job placement within 12 months of completing their training and received annual earnings averaging over 83,000 per year in their new…
