Funders to approach for Seven Capes Bird Alliance

MISSION: Our mission is to encourage residents and visitors to protect and enjoy the native birds, other wildlife, and habitats found on Oregons coast through conservation, education, and community science.ACHIEVEMENTS:Program services included monthly free public bird walks, classroom programs for children through seniors, online and in-person science presentations, programs at community events, and printing of related publications, benefiting 1,100 people.Program services included completing site management plans for Cape Foulweather Marine Conservation Area and Cape Lookout Marine Conservation Area as well as related activities, including participating in workshops and sponsoring public education events such as webinars, presentations, and outings. We submitted the site management plans to Oregons Department of Land Conservation and Development. We also monitored issues related to coastal forests, marine reserves, and estuaries.Osprey Awareness Initiative: 1) Osprey Ambassadors - trained and deployed 53 volunteers to monitor 45 nests in Lincoln & Tillamook counties.
