The Urban Youth Initiative is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to the educational enrichment and empowerment of middle school and high school aged youth. Our services has recently extended to now include early childhood and elementary children in an effort to provide substantive instructional support to families and schools alike. An encroaching goal for UYI has been to tie together related pedagogic services with the robust offering many New York City schools provide, as well as the instructional provisions of the schools in neighboring Yonkers, Mount Vernon and New Rochelle. The overarching objective is centered on preserving parental choice as to where parents and guardians want their children to receive supportive special educational services.
