Funders to approach for Feed the Kids Columbus Inc

Feed The Kids Columbus strives to ensure food insecure children in Central Ohio have access to nutritious meals and snacks so they are able to learn and grow. There are as many as 12 million children in the United States who are at risk of hunger. Throughout Ohio, it is estimated that 1 in 5 children struggle with food insecurity. The consequences of hunger are much more than a growling stomach. Poor nutrition can result in a weaker immune system, increased hospitalization, lower IQ, shorter attention spans and lower academic achievement. Many food insecure children are provided meals during school hours through Federal Child Nutrition Programs. FTKC strives to ensure food insecure children in central Ohio can get nutritious meals over extended school breaks and snacks throughout the school year.
