What Youth Ultimate League of Arlington does
Mission
Since founding in the Fall of 2012, YULA provides opportunities for thousands of middle school and high school youth to play ultimate frisbee by providing instruction, coaching, organized practices, tournaments, and league play in Arlington, Virginia. Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact team game played by players with a flying disc. While Ultimate resembles many traditional sports in its athletic requirements, it is unlike most sports due to its focus on self-officiating. Ultimate relies on the sportsmanship of players and invokes the "spirit of the game" to maintain fair play. Players call their own fouls, and dispute a foul only when they genuinely believe it did not occur. YULA's Mission is to create opportunities for Arlington youth to play ultimate, have fun and grow as individuals and community members. Build a safe and welcoming community for players, coaches and parents where "Spirit of the Game" is of paramount importance.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.
Program
Held fall 2023 and spring 2024 season for both middle and high school teams. Participated in tournaments including Fall Fling (VA), Coconut Classic (NJ), Spring Fling (VA) and Virginia States championship. Hosted YULA invite tournament with local and regional teams from North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and beyond.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2018, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2018, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2024 to 2025, from $52k to $78k (+50%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
