01What it does

What Womans Club of Concord Nh does

Mission

Empowering women to enhance lives and community.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. The Club participated for the second time in NH Gives, a day for NH nonprofits to extend themselves on a statewide basis to those who would like to support their missions outside of our local influence. The Club conducted its fourth online auction, netting more than $11,000 to support the continued conservation of the Chamberlin House. The exterior attic storm window project and the accessibility project for the first floor were initiated in this year. And the renovation of the original 1886 roof was completed with the support of an LCHIP grant.

  2. There were monthly educational programs held at the House for members and their guests. Club members collected warm clothing for Shea Farm, Brigid?s House and Concord Human Services and personal care items for the Crisis Center of NH. In May 2023, the Club awarded two, $2,000 scholarships and thanks to 2024 St. Paddy?s Day fundraiser, the Club will award three, $3,000 in the coming year. Additionally, the Club provided funding to a number of women at the NH State Prison to enroll in the Cosmetology Program. The Chamberlin House provided below market housing to three women in need last year.

The 2 programs described on its FY2023 Form 990-EZ.
