01What it does

What Washington Federation of Independent Schools does

Mission

Strengthening education as the advocate and voice of private schools.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Three board meetings and/or retreats per year. Allows interaction and decision making on behalf of member schools; facilitates communication from and to schools through their elected representatives.

  2. Wfis produces weekly electronic newsletters to all members as well as bi-annual "advocate" newsletters to all schools. These publications maintain communication with independent schools, keeps them up-to-date on all covid protocol, mandates and best practices, and notifies them of professional development opportunities.

The 2 programs described on its FY2023 Form 990, listed largest first by expense.

Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
