What Washington Federation of Animal Care & Control Agencies does
Mission
Animal Advocacy; promote humane legislation training for animal welfare groups.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.
Program
2024 continued to be challenging post the Covid-19 pandemic. The Washington Federation focused on providing guidance and resources to animal welfare organizations to help them navigate through the changing landscapes of animal care throughout the year. In 2024 The Federation awarded grants totaling $81,500 funding spay or neuter surgeries for companion animals and community cats. Grants are made possible by the SPAY~NEUTER~ADOPT specialty license plates which launched in 2007. We are pleased that we have continued to offer our virtual euthanasia by injection classes. The Federations legislative activity during the 2024 session involved monitoring and supporting several bills.

The organization over time

Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2020 to 2021, from $125k to $151k (+21%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
