Program
We conducted site selection, developed construction plans and completed the drilling of 16 new boreholes in areas that previously did not have a safe fresh water site within their community or school. This previously required individuals to manually carry water significant distances to provide safe drinking and cooking water for human consumption. We also identified the need to provide support for keeping the new wells in operation, including a supply of spare parts and the training of local persons to repair the manual pumps. We also provide spare parts and training for 3 additional sites where the existing wells were out of commission due to lack of parts and trained personnel.
