01What it does

What Village Community Foundation Inc does

Mission

The Village Community Foundation creates access and opportunity for emerging, underrepresented talent in the worlds of culture, entertainment, sports, and finance.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Program

On its FY2025 return the organization reported starting a significant new program.

The Village Community Foundation's LaunchPad Program began the LaunchPad Fellowship. The Fellowship provides a more intensivejourney from the organization's preexisting Career Discovery program through employment preparation and placement assistance services.

Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 2).

  1. In 2025, The Village Community Foundation's LaunchPad Program continued to grow, having now served over 1,000 young adults with over 4,000 program service hours. As the participants in the program have grown, LaunchPad created a more intensive "fellows" track focused on professionalskills, technical skills, and job placement assistance. The fellowship program quickly grew to over 100 fellows and led to placements in numerous corporate offices and film and television productions. LaunchPad has continued to welcome new talent and employer partners including several large companies, nonprofits, and universities.

Each line starts at 100 in 2021, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2021, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
