What Vatv does
Mission
Production of community television programs to share with the Vietnamese American community.
As stated on its FY2023 Form 990-EZ.
Program
VATV has been an integral part in informing and educating the Vietnamese American community through news programs. The program reaches thousands of Vietnamese Americans throughout the country through its Youtube page and national television service. It keeps the community informed and involved with cultural events in the regional and national areas. VATV volunteers travel to weekly events throughout the country to provide programs in both English and Vietnamese. Over the past year, VATV has partnered with various organizations throughout the DC Metropolitan area to help disseminate information and educate Vietnamese Americans on issues that are not typically spoken about in the community, such as Hepatitis B. VATV hopes to further its long term goals by continuing to provide training programs for new and old volunteers who are interested in developing media skills and learning more about the larger community.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2022, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2022, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2022 to 2023, from $7k to $20k (+198%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
61% of VATV’s revenue is contributions — about as donation-reliant as the typical peer (78% for the typical peer).
Surplus & reserves
