What Trailhead Youth Ranch does
Mission
To develop and maintain a ranch setting and horse program that motivates, equips and inspires volunteers, children and families to grow and prosper through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
As stated on its FY2017 Form 990-EZ.
Program
Trained volunteers work with children and horses in a controlled and Christ-centered environment. Children are taught to control and ride a horse in a non-threatening and supportive environment. Children are taught to responsibly help with chores around the ranch. They are also taught that a life submitted to Christ is real truth and that this life can be a true adventure. Trailhead Youth Ranch provides the ideal location, volunteer staff and program to make all of this a reality for kids at no cost. Participants learn horse safety, correct riding technique and how to care for horses. The Ranch program is designed to minister to the physical, mental, and most importantly, to the spiritual needs of the children as well as the volunteers involved.
The first program described on its most recent Form 990-EZ.
