What The Stelae Inc does

Mission

The Stelae Inc. Plans to erect and maintain a large public monument in central florida. Principally, the monument consists of 3376 engraved granite slabs (the stelae), to be erected in a logarithmic spiral on the designated site. The site will also feature sixteen aeolian harps. Taken together, the monument will provide a space in which the public may experience both a sculptural installation and the visual representation of literary texts. The stelae will be engraved with works of poetry, prose, and graphic arts - (eleven novels, an autobiography, and more than a hundred poems) - based on a personalized, free translation of the hebrew tanakh (the christian old testament) - and constituting one literary epic that involves the relationship between a father and son, the life of a small southern community, and a journal written by the son as he and his father drive around the five continents of the world. For the latter part of the stelae's story, many of the granite slabs will contain th

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of THE STELAE INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of THE STELAE INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $555k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
