What The Phyllis & Mark Leppert Foundati does
Mission
The mission of the campion fund is to support fundamental research in reproductive science by conducting scientific meetings for scientists and the interested public, by awarding scientists with small funds to enhance their research development and to promote reproductive science to the public through educational blogs.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.
Program
We conducted five science cafes for the public on reproductive science. In a series of four cafes at a local church. We presented a session on: how scientists think and analyze published research: how scientists conduct clinical and translational research using studies on uterine fibroids: what happens to young scientists at the start of their careers: the importance of basic science using the genome project as an example and stressing multicentered research. The campion fund published 12 newsletters that were distributed on online subscribers. In 2025 we posted 12 educational blogs on our website. Three of these blogs have been indexed in scientific databases. Finally, we contributed financially to the mammalian reproduction gordon conference in 2025. The conference will be held in the summer of 2026.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2017 to 2018, from $43k to $10k (−76%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
