01What it does

What Thalamusorg Inc does

Mission

The mission of thalamus.org, inc. (the "charity") is to make the medical residency selection, placement, and transition process affordable and accessible to all medical students.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. Thalamus.org scholarships allow medical students to apply to residency with a greater financial peace of mind. The scholarships are designed to cover the costs associated with application to medical residency programs. Traditionally, these costs are not covered by student loans requiring applicants to pay out of pocket or taking on high interest rate loans or credit card debt. Thalamus.org works to ensure that residency application and travel costs do not determine what program, specialty, or location a student matches into.

Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
