Program
Tpi-us conducts onsite reviews of teacher preparation programs across the united states to assess the quality of their coursework, faculty teaching, clinical placement practices and continuous improvement processes and actions. These onsite visits involve a team of trained education professionals. Typical site visits take place over a four-day period, culminating in evidence-based oral and written reports to the preparation program leaders that identify strengths, areas for improvement, and specific recommendations for how to strengthen program quality. Tpi-us delivers targeted technical support to these programs, working collaboratively with each program to create and implement action plans designed to produce well-prepared teachers with the knowledge and skills to advance positive learning outcomes for pk-12 students. As of the end of 2024, teacher prep inspections-us has completed over 400 inspections in 24 states through several initiatives. Program leaders have reported back that the process provided clear, actionable guidance on areas needing immediate improvements - with many taking immediate actions as a result of the inspection.
