01What it does

What Td for Breast Cancer does

Mission

TD for Breast Cancers mission is to raise breast cancer awareness encourage self-advocacy in medical settings educate young women on their breast cancer lifetime risks & provide outreach to an under-served community. TDBC fundraising efforts support our program for women under 40 without access to early detection services such as mammograms. Our grants help offset the costs of early detection services for individuals who lack insurance coverage for these procedures as well as supporting young women currently in breast cancer treatment. We host & attend events where we connect with hundreds of individuals with breast cancer risk. Many of these individuals are affected by breast cancer and seek support; others are under 40 the typical age at which mammogram screening begins and are unaware of the risks they might have for developing breast cancer in their lifetime. By meeting with these people we empower them to know what to do where to go & how to advocate for themselves.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. We have been raising funds to start our program that supports women under 40 with financial assistance towards early detection breast cancer treatment such as mammograms who may not otherwise be able to afford such treatment. Because we just received our Letter of Exemption in 2024 we focused mainly on fundraising to launch our program in 2025. One of the main ways we fundraised was by hosting events. We did not receive any grants. We did receive donations from donors.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of Td for Breast Cancer’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of Td for Breast Cancer's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $13k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
