SILV's mission is to provide students of great potential with training in all areas of live entertainment technology so they can become exemplary and successful members of the industry and their communities. We also continued our equity-driven tuition-free policy for the duration of the pandemic and will keep this policy going forward..
As stated on its FY2021 Form 990-EZ.
Program
SILV offered their unique program in Technical Aspects of Live Entertainment to 140 students from 26 states and 9 countries. Tuition waiver scholarships were granted to all 140 students enrolled in the program (estimated value of $550,000). SIILV proudly continues to base admission on their assessment of the student's ability to be successful in the industry without regard for financial resources. SILV was produced this year totally for the goodwill and training for those students whose plans were upended and confounded b the COVID-19 pandemic. In their effort to continue to find the most qualified students SILV doe snot award scholarship funds but rather awards tuition waivers to cover the cost of the student's training. Al 140 student successfully completed their training. SILV stays in contact with their alumni to be available to assist them in their lives and in their careers.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2020, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2020, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2020 to 2021, from $16k to $18k (+11%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2020 36%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 1 of the last 2 reported years ran a deficit.
