What St Mary's Medical Center Inc does
Mission
We are inspired by the love of christ to provide quality health care in ways which respect the god-given dignity of each person and the sacredness of human life.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Programs
St. Mary's medical center was established in 1924 and, based on the core values of compassion, hospitality, reverence, trust, interdependence, and stewardship, continues to provide high quality healthcare services to residents of huntington, west virginia and the surrounding area. Services are provided without regard to the patient's race, creed, sex, national origin, age, or handicap. Since care provided to medicare and medicaid beneficiaries is subject to contractual reimbursement restrictions, payment received…

During the fiscal year ended september 30, 2025, the auxiliary contributed approximately $460,000 to st. Mary's. In addition, volunteers provided over 16,600 hours of service valuable to promoting the mission and activities of the hospital.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2019 to 2020, from $411M to $489M (+19%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2020 6% · 2021 0% · 2022 1% · 2023 0% · 2024 2%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
