What South Portland Football Boosters Inc does
Mission
The South Portland Football Boosters Club was organized to help support the development of youth, middle school and high school football programs in the community of South Portland, Maine.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.
Program
The South Portland Football Boosters provide financial and logistical support for the K-12 football programs in the City of South Portland, Maine, through the hard work and dedication of their volunteer members. It is typical for 170-190 players to participate each year in the football programs. These programs help to mold the players in to responsible citizens of the community, through hard work and discipline, and it encourages them to help others in the community, under the leadership and involvement of the coaches and parents, through community events and fundraisers. Player registration fees, sponsorship and advertising fees, special fundraising events, apparel and concession sales and charitable contributions make up the majority of the income. The funds raised are used to assist with such things as uniform and equipment upgrade costs, coaching and officiating fees, team dinners and banquets and assistance with sports camp costs.
The program described on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.

How it's funded, over time
