What Shady Pines Radio does
Mission
Shady Pines Radio is an internet community radio station and live event production group, teaching members of the community how to do radio broadcasting and show production. We aim to lift up local talent, and build up and energize the local arts culture.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.
Programs
Shady Pines Festival was our largest program service accomplishment of 2025 as measured by expense. The festival's objective was to bolster the local music culture by spotlighting excellent local artists, and provide a unique opportunity for the Shady Pines Radio community to gather in person and celebrate local music, art, and community radio. We measure this event's success in the amount of community involvement we saw. Of the 844 people in attendance, nearly three quarters were involved in the production of the festival as a volunteer, performer, vendor, or staff member.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2023, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2023, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2024 to 2025, from $9k to $5k (−45%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
33% of SHADY PINES RADIO’s revenue is contributions — about as donation-reliant as the typical peer (64% for the typical peer).
