01What it does

What Sandy Valley Foodsharing Program does

Mission

We are a rural Food Bank in Southern Nevada. We feed approximately 250 households each month four times on Fridays and two times on Thursdays for a total of six distributions x 250 households each month twelve months per year. We distribute both Fresh Rescue foods and USDA TEFAP foods to qualifying households.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. We deliver Fresh Rescue foods from Las Vegas to Sandy Valley four to five times per month. All grocery stores are forty or more miles away from Sandy Valley Nevada which is a hardship for our population. We also distribute USDA TEFAP foods to our food insecure qualifying households twice per month. This grant pays for our operating expenses as detailed previously.
