What Project NYC Inc does
Mission
Project NYC Inc. helps to build and strengthen the community by bringing together local residents, businesses and members of the general public to provide leadership on important community issues; to partner with police and local leaders to improve public safety; to enhance and preserve historic West 13th Street between 7th and Greenwich Avenues and its surrounding neighborhood; and to advance educational initiatives that promote conservation, beautification and well-being of community members of all ages. Our name was legally changed with NYS in October 2019. Paperwork was submitted to the IRS on March 4, 2020, but to date we have not received confirmation whether the name change was processed by the IRS. We plan to resubmit and request another confirmation in March 2021.

We held two volunteer days where volunteers planted tulips in tree beds to beautify the neighborhood, painted tree beds and installed new signs for the tree beds. We engaged over 25 volunteers who cleaned and painted 30 tree beds and planted hundreds of tulips.
