01What it does

What Pensacola Area Interfaith Justice Ministry does

Mission

We are a coalition of 17 faith congregations to empower our community through research, training, and direct action, to address root causes of poverty and injustice.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. Hosted 42 house meetings attended by approximately 400 people to build community power to address affordable housing problems and improve the civil citation program. These meetings resulted in a combined action meeting on May 6, 2025, of over 700 people to ask county commissioners to allocate parcels of surplus land to a community land trust. Then these parcels are available to be developed into affordable housing for residents living below 80% of area median income.
