01What it does

What Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association does

Mission

The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association, as the leading voice of pharmacy, promotes the profession through advocacy, education, and communication to enhance patient care and public health.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. The association held one state-wide meeting - the annual conference. The meeting attracted members who participated in forums and continuing education sessions and met with state agency officials, as well as celebrating achievements of colleagues at the annual awards banquet. The association distributes a twice weekly e-mail bulletin which contains a brief synopsis of pertinent information e.g., industry news, association news, legislative and regulatory updates and upcoming events. The association is responsible for monitoring legislation and proposed regulations which could have a significant economic impact on pharmacies and pharmacists. The association maintains a website which contains information of a current and topical nature so members may remain informed.

The program described on its FY2024 Form 990.

How concentrated its funding is

Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association leans on a few funders — its largest provides 99% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association.
