Mission

We provide our local community with increased access to education, resources, & art that is accessible to and reflective of underrepresented cultures and identities. We have a focus on the Asian-American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, but provide a safe space for individuals of all backgrounds & identities to find safety and solace in.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. Our community center operations is the bulk of our program service accomplishments, particularly, our cafe and food pantry/fund program. Over the course of the year we provided over $5,000 in fresh, hot, food for free to our local community. The purpose of this is to provide a free resource, in this case, food, to our local community. We also started a kids program where we provide kids under 13 with free food, as we've had an increase in kids coming to the space.

  2. Community-Run Events: AAPI LGBTQIA+ Book Club, History of Chinatown, Acoustic Jam Sessions, Tea Tasting, and more! These events have been the bulk of our work outside our community space and have been extremely successful in terms of public interest. These activities are meant to foster community across multiple AAPI cultures - all these events center Asian/BIPOC voices and vendors, businesses, organizations, and more.

  3. Underserved AAPI Market: Our inaugural underserved AAPI market helped to spotlight small businesses, creators, and organizations that make less than $10,000 a month in revenue. We were able to waive the vendor fee for them and provide them with all the materials to attend our pop-up. This event was a hit, pulling in a crowd of 500, and providing our AAPI community with more exposure and sales!

1 of 2 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 51% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of PANETHNIC POUROVERS’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

PANETHNIC POUROVERS leans on a few funders — its largest provides 51% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

51% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund PANETHNIC POUROVERS.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Where its funders are

51% of PANETHNIC POUROVERS's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $10k that is directly attributable, 100% of it comes from Massachusetts funders.

MA

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $10k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
