Mission

Bridges of Hope has been operating a transformational home in Northern Whatcom County since 2014. The Bridges of Hope home provides a Christ-centered transformational community. We help men released from jail, prison, and substance abuse rehabilitation centers to get back on their feet and start living productive lives. Members of our program live in an atmosphere of trust, security, and mutual respect. We provide transformational discipleship through mentoring, vocational and life skills training, and educational opportunities. Our goal is to facilitate holistic restoration so that the men in our program graduate to become responsible members of society.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. In 2025, Bridges of Hope experienced a year of tremendous blessing and growth. The organization was able to hire a house manager, providing greater structure, stability and expanding the ministry's capacity to serve men in recovery. Bridges of Hope provided a safe, structured residential program for eighteen men during the year, offering Christ-centered guidance, life-skills training, and accountability as they worked toward lasting sobriety and restored relationships. In 2025 BOH also broke ground on a new Resource Center to open in 2026, which will include space for classes, counseling, and vocational readiness. Through ongoing community support and volunteer involvement, Bridges of Hope continued to see lives transformed by faith, hope, and purposeful living.

1 of 2 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 76% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of One to One of Lynden’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

One to One of Lynden leans on a few funders — its largest provides 76% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund One to One of Lynden.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

76% of One to One of Lynden's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $169k that is directly attributable, 100% of it comes from Washington funders.

WA

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $548k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
