01What it does

What Ohio Council for Home Care & Hospice does

Mission

Home health care improvement.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Ochch's educational programs help home care and hospice providers to streamline and build efficiencies into their operations, and stay abreast of regulations, current issues, trends and developments. Each educational program is developed with a vision to create a relevant, high level learning opportunity that will enable administrative knowledge and growth, allow attendees to network with their peers, and arm home care and hospice agencies for success--all while receiving continuing education credits. Better educated industry administrators help to ensure quality care is provided to ohioans using their services.

  2. Ochch advocated on half of the home care and hospice industries by interacting with state and federal lawmaking bodies, regulatory agencies and fiscal intermediaries, acting as a liason to help our members interpret, challenge, or support policies that affect home health care and hospice.

  3. Ochch created a patients and family portal on our website to provide education for persons who are looking for home health care and hospice services in ohio. Consumers can find home care and hospice providers in a comprehensive provider search that is searchable by county or payor sources. There is a clearinghouse of links, topics and tips for patients and families.
