Mission

The children's gardens mission is to "keep our kids connected to nature for generations to come!" as simple as our mission sounds, today it is harder than ever to get our children outside for some nature time. Many obstacles keep kids inside like busy family schedules, not having access to parks, stranger danger and one of the hardest challenges is technology time! Statistically children 3-7 years old spend 2-4 hours on an electronic device, 8-10 years old spend 6 hours on average and 11-14 year old spend up to 9 hours. Kids and adults alike need less screen time and more time in nature!

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. We offer many nature, gardening & art programs weekly as well as special events to get our families outside enjoying the wonders of nature! Our garden programs have been developed to teach kids about the magic of how one little seed can grow their food. We touch on healthy soil, composting & plant identification. Our garden classes promote sustainability, confidence and good nutrition. Normal attendance varies by season from 10 to 24 kids.our nature programs are very hands-on and interactive to get the kids excited about mother nature. We might go on a "bug hunt", or "explore our bog & pond", or visit our "rainforest" for some cool fun. Our outdoor green space creates a perfect opportunity for some backyardbiology! These outdoor adventures teach wildlife habitats, empathy for our animal friends and ecology. Normal attendance is approximately 12 to 30 kids each week.our art programs are specifically entwined in nature by collecting our special nature finds in the garden to create magical works of art, each perfectly original. Our nature art programs not only allow for individual creativity, but sparks the imagination. We create art with about 12 to 24 kids weekly.storytime is an…

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of NODNOC INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of NODNOC INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $71k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
