01What it does

What New Jersey Beach Buggy Association does

Mission

To provide recreational and social events for members and to protect beach habitat.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. To foster, perpetuate and promote a closer relationship among owners of beach buggies. To raise money to work for proper conservation of beaches and marine sport fisheries. To raise money for scholarships per web site: www.njbba.org. The New Jersey Beach Buggy Association is a statewide organization dedicated to the preservation of natural beach resources. Since 1954 the njbba has fought to preserve beach access for all beach users. The njbba not only builds protective fences and plants dune grasses to protect beaches, but also gets involved with community leaders and other worthy organizations to keep beaches open for all types of uses. From birding to fishing, horseback riding as well as people that like to walk on the beach. The njbba also has a few charitable programs that they sponsor and assist throughout the year. They have two special needs children's events where less fortunate children get to spend the day on the beach learing about fishing and nature. They are also active in a program "hooked on fishing, not on drugs" youth fishing program.

Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
