01What it does

What Neurodiverse Family Haven does

Mission

Our mission is to enhance the wellbeing within each community specifically through increasing community inclusion of individuals who experience disabilities and food security through providing resources available to all

As stated on its FY2023 Form 990.

Programs

On its FY2023 return the organization reported a significant change in how it conducts a program.

When founded the intent was to primarily provide Medicaid waiver-based services to individuals who experience disabilities and be a successor organization to Nadon Family Home LLC. The primary income was payment from Medicaid for these services. Due to administrative difficulties with the State of Alaska to establish Neurodiverse Family Haven as a successor to Nadon Family Home and provide these services per the original plan Neurodiverse Family Haven has not been able to provide the Medicaid waiver-based services. Neurodiverse Family Haven has decided to scale back its operations to provide non-waiver based programs and services to increase access and inclusion to individuals who experience disabilities. Nadon Family Home LLC which was originally planning to conclude business when Neurodiverse Family Haven succeeded it will continue to operate and provide Medicaid waiver-based services. In short Neurodiverse Family Haven is no longer a successor organization to Nadon Family Home LLC.

Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 3).

  1. Neurodiverse Family Haven provided inclusive programming for individuals who experience disabilities and was able to scholarship individuals who experienced undue hardships so they could participate and be included.
