What Nac Safe Place does
Mission
Staffed by volunteer mental health professionals, Safe Place is a collaboration of community agencies, schools, and law enforcement dedicated to the mental health and wellness of our community. The Safe Place strives to increase awareness about suicide as a public health problem that can be prevented. The ultimate goal of the organization is to reduce the stigma associated with suicide in order to increase each person's ability to seek help and prevent further loss of life.

They have had awareness walks in East Texas to help families not feel that their loved ones are forgotten. NSP has been successful in preventing crisis situations by helping 3 people not die by suicide. NSP is the first organization of its kind in the US.
