Programs
Legislative program - the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys reviewed all legislative bills introduced in the missouri general assembly and monitored bills determined to be of interest to members of the association and their clients. Members of the association, staff and consultants testified and/or lobbied for or against proposed legislation relating to the civil justice system, the right to trial by jury, and individual rights. By providing issue briefs, testimony, and consultation regarding identified issues, the association was successful in stopping or amending proposed legislation with potential to restrict or limit the rights of individuals and/or the benefits of the civil justice system and right to trial by jury.
Continuing legal education and annual convention - the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys presented an annual convention featuring continuing legal education seminars and offered interactive/live tele-conference seminars via the internet on topics of interest to members of the trial bar. The seminars offered programs for members to earn required continuing legal education credits and to gain knowledge of new technology and skills in the art of advocacy to help them better serve their clients. Presentation of seminars via the internet allowed members to participate in live seminars from their offices which reduce the time required to attend seminars in locations around the state, thus enabling them to have additional time to serve their clients and reduce costs associated with complying with the mandatory cle requirements to maintain their license to practice law. Interactive teleconference seminars presented members the opportunity to gain skills from national, state and regional speakers.
Magazine - the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys published a quarterly magazine directed to the education of its members as well as judges and lawyers generally. The missouri trial attorney magazine presents articles written by trial lawyers directed to the teaching of tort law, worker's compensation, and other aspects of the law pertaining to the protection of the civil justice system and advancing the interests and protecting the rights of individuals. The magazine includes advertisement of products and services available to the legal community and trial bar to assist members in better serving their clients.

The 4 programs described on its FY2025 Form 990, listed largest first by expense.
The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2019 to 2020, from $733k to $1.4M (+86%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 1 of the last 9 reported years ran a deficit.

Leadership and staff
The officers, directors, trustees and key employees listed on each return. Joined and no longer listed compare each filing with the year before, matching people by surname and first initial; a year after a gap, or a roster under three people, has no comparison.
