01What it does

What Miracle Dancer Scholarship Found does

Mission

Miracle Dancers is a dance troupe in Louisville, KY comprised solely of handicapped children through age 18. The dancers have improved physical and mental acuity and an improved sense of accomplishment and self-worth. Donations are used to help financial need students.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. Upon acceptance by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) entity during late 2012 fundraising programs commenced to accumulate donations to provide help to families in need of assistance through scholarship grants. Other revenue amounts are provided from the families of the students in the form of tuition payments for dance instruction. 44 students were provided weekly dance instruction during a ten month school year by the organization. Students were able to perform in various venues including a broadcast performance by the Crusade for Children, a local fund-raising organization which provides funding for medical needs for handicapped children throughout a two state area. Donation request and grant applications have been submitted by the Foundation and were pending at the end of the fiscal year for additional funding. 13 scholarships were provided by the Foundation to students with demonstrated financial need. Costume assistance was provided to 33 students.

How concentrated its funding is

Miracle Dancer Scholarship Found leans on a few funders — its largest provides 66% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

33% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund Miracle Dancer Scholarship Found.
