Program

  1. Middle Grades Collaborative is part of a unique collaboration of colleges providing ongoing professional development for aspiring and practicing teachers of 10-15 year olds. Since 1991, the Middle Grades Collaborative has offered the Institute, aimed at providing this support and, in addition, helping educators earn their Middle Grades Teaching Endorsement. Although Middle Grades Collaborative is based in Vermont, both Vermonters and teachers well beyond our state's borders have found the institute to be a meaningful and important professional development experience. Middle Grades Collaborative directly serves 250 educators through professional development and it also sponsors an international online academic journal, The Middle Grades Review, which publishes three issues each year. In 2025 there were 18,472 downloads of articles from The Middle Grades Review.

Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
