01What it does

What Mat Rats Wrestling Club does

Mission

The organization is renovating a building in order to provide a location for local youth to practice the sport of wrestling and excel in the sport.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. A dilapidated building was purchased in 2023 and renovations began on the building. Renovations were completed in 2024 and we began using the building as a wrestling practice facility for local youth ages 4-18. Athletes pay a nominal yearly fee to cover basic needs. The wrestling club will host a yearly tournament as well as camps to raise additional funds to keep the club sustainable. Renovation expenses for the building have been significant and will be supported by community donations and grants. Further renovations have begun to turn the basement into an exercise facility.
