Our organization was established in 2020 to support the work of the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Grandparents Raising Grandchildren We operate as a Friends Of type of non-profit applying for grants and raising funds to support grandparents raising grandchildren in Massachusetts Children being raised by grandparents face unique challenges that can limit their access to enrichment opportunities critical for healthy development Our mission is to provide financial assistance for extracurricular activities and camps for children in kinship care Our organization aims to remove financial barriers promote positive youth development provide respite for grandparent caregivers and strengthen the overall wellbeing of grandfamilies in Massachusetts
