01What it does

What Man Rise Foundation does

Mission

Man Rise works with high school groups (athletic teams and other groups) and provides guidance and role models to help encourage productive citizenship and family values. Man Rise provides pre-game and banquet meals to these groups, hosts various camps and skill and character building opportunities for groups of students (primarily football and basketball camps) as well as providing other needed support within the community. Essentially all of what Man Rise does involves character building, and Man Rise's activities are conducted by volunteers where possible. The mission statement of Man Rise is: To mentor young men by word and example, to encourage morality, good character and responsibility through Bible study and personal encouragement. The purpose statement of Man Rise is: Godly mature men pouring their lives and resources into younger men in order to train and equip them for productive lives to the glory of God. (We also have female volunteers that mentor young women.)

As stated on its FY2019 Form 990-EZ.

Program

Provide pre-game meals, athletic camp meals, banquet meals, supplies and related expenses for various athletic teams and student groups in the Memphis area in connection with mentoring and character building activities.

The first program described on its most recent Form 990-EZ.
