What Let The Beat Build Inc does
Mission
Our organization focuses on serving marginalized youth ages 8-19. We aim to empower young people by providing them with access to music production, mental health, and life coaching support and resources.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Program
In 2024, Let The Beat Build invested $202K into contractors and teaching artists to directly deliver 737 sessions, reaching 4,259 youth across Dallas-Forth Worth and beyond. With strong partnerships (DISD, Big Thought, Walls Project, Cynthia Mickens Ministries, Dallas Stem Expo), LTBB expanded impact in both schools and community hubs. Our lean model ensured 76% of all expenses went to program services, 20% to essential management & operations, and 4% to leadership-driven fundraising and partnership development. We ended the year with positive net assets and positioned for growth in 2025. Every dollar invested provided 2,000 hours of creative, educational, and wellness- based learning opportunities for undeserved youth.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2023, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2023, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2023 to 2024, from $11k to $8k (−30%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 0 of the last 2 reported years ran a deficit.
