What King High Historical Foundation does
Mission
The Foundation was created to raise funds to be used in the development, construction, and management of the historic HM King High School building and perhaps other nearby structures in Kleberg County, Texas. The historic HM King High School building, with renovations completed, has transitioned to use as City Hall for the City of Kingsville. Additionally, the renovated building can be used to provide educational and cultural programs for the public about the role, purpose and value of government and to increase public understanding, visibility and access to the resources of government, culture and nature.
As stated on its FY2017 Form 990.
Program
Initially formed to implement the rehabilitation and restoration of the 1909 H.M. King High School located in the city of Kingsville, Kleberg County, the building renovations are now complete. The renovated building now serves as City Hall for the city of Kingsville. The offices of the mayor, city manager and city commissioners are housed in the renovated building, as well as the Human Resources and legal departments.
