Program

Presidential libraries serve as repositories for papers, records, artifacts, and historical materials of u.s. Presidents. These institutions, which are part of the national archives and records administration (nara), help preserve the history of each presidential administration for future generations. Moreover, presidential libraries offer valuable resources for researchers and the general public to study a particular presidency and its impact on the nation's history and policy. Congress legislated this policy, passing the presidential libraries act in 1955. Through archives, museums, and public programs, presidential libraries continue to preserve the documents and artifacts of presidents, helping us learn about our nation and our democracy.the foundation will serve as the presidential library for president joseph r. Biden, jr. And will have a museum with permanent and temporary exhibits, educational offerings, and public programming. It will collect and preserve important documents and historical records pertaining to the biden presidency, including items collected by the president, campaign memorabilia, awards, electronic records, personal papers, and other materials.
