What Jaosa Inc does
Mission
We are a volunteer based youth soccer organization in a town of 14,000. We have received a couple large donations to use to build a couple new soccer fields, and renovate some old fields that needed to be crowned, and irrigation added. This has caused our total revenue to increase drastically from prior years. We are now wrapping up the field renovations, and have turned over the regular operations of the youth soccer league to our City Parks and Recreation Department. We are dissolving the JAOSA organization, and donating any remaining funds to the City youth soccer program and the local high school soccer programs.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Programs
On its FY2024 return the organization reported a significant change in how it conducts a program.
We have turned the soccer league operations over to the City of Jackson in June 2024. We are dissolving JAOSA Inc. Any remaining cash will be distributed in 2025
Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 3).
We are renovating an old soccer park to make the fields playable in various weather situations. We have brought in dirt to add crowns to the fields for better drainage. We added irrigation to keep the natural turf in better condition, and have replaced the natural turf with better quality turf that will create a better playing surface for the kids. In 2024, we 5 soccer fields.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2022, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2022, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2022 to 2023, from $217k to $116k (−47%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2024 41%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
