Mission
It is our desire to serve all our members- old and new. We believe that the irish american home society will serve as the focal point for newcomers to our shores to understand and appreciate our american system of life. We further believe that this society will afford all of our membership the opportunity to continue their appreciation and preservation of the irish cultures.
As stated on its FY2020 Form 990.
Programs
Seisun, ceol and ceilis (traditional irish social activities) are held on a weekly basis. Cultural events are held throughout the year such as the annual feisanna (competition of irish dance), irish music festivals, and various activities and events held in conjunction with saint patrick's day in effort to promote national heritage and culture. Members have the opportunity to further their cultutal awareness and education through lessions in gaelic language, hurling, gaelic football and ceili dancing.
College scholarships are awarded annually to graduating highschool seniors or current full time undergraduate students. Candidates qualifying for the scholarship must be members or sons or daughters of "members in good standing" of the irish american home society. Applicants are judged on membership years, academic achievements, extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation and an essay. The irish american home society through this program seeks students who; understand /appreciate their heritage; show and appreciation for the value of an education and are willing to work to achieve success.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2020 to 2021, from $1.3M to $1.6M (+26%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2024 8%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 2 of the last 8 reported years ran a deficit.

Leadership and staff
The officers, directors, trustees and key employees listed on each return. Joined and no longer listed compare each filing with the year before, matching people by surname and first initial; a year after a gap, or a roster under three people, has no comparison.
