What Innovation Health Center does
Mission
Work with local, state and national health care providers and leaders, policy-makers and other experts to develop innovative solutions and strategies to provide cost effective health services for medicaid beneficiaries and children.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Program
Innovation Health Center (ihc) program services include the procurement of special metabolic formula for medicaid patients in nc. Ihc takes the doctor's orders and enters orders, specific to each patient, with metabolic formula manufacturers. The orders are drop-shipped to the patient's home county health department for pick up. In 2019, ihc began collaboration on a pilot program related to enhanced care coordination and complex care management of children with medical complexity cared for in north carolina. Ihc collaboration continued through 2025.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2019, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2019, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.

How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2020 73% · 2021 63% · 2022 49% · 2023 30% · 2024 33% · 2025 7%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
