What Independence Hall Association does
Mission
Independence Hall Association was founded in 1942 to spearhead the creation of the independence national historical park. The association is written into the enabling legislation of the park and stands as an independent group of private concerned citizens overseeing and being consulted on matters concerning the park. The association helped in the effort to reconstruct the declaration house; donated the statue of the signer, standing across the street from the independence hall group of buildings; and encouraged the development of guidebooks for philadelphia. The association's current mission is to educate the public about the revolutionary and colonial eras of american history, as well as philadelphia generally. This is accomplished primarily through the website www.ushistory.org, which is owned and controlled by the association.
As stated on its FY2021 Form 990-EZ.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2024 to 2025, from $258k to $177k (−31%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
3% of INDEPENDENCE HALL ASSOCIATION’s revenue is contributions — more earned-revenue than three-quarters of its peers (78% for the typical peer).
